AUTUMN . . . A SEASON OF GRATITUDE

As promised, today I’m sharing a variety of lovely Fall cards I’ve made. As I mentioned Tuesday, this has become my favorite season of the year. We have SO much to be thankful for, and the older I’ve gotten I’ve discovered how gratitude and remembering to give thanks for all you have, can change your life! If you want to get inspired to make gratitude a more important part of your life, read Ann Voskamp’s wonderful book “1000 Gifts”. . . . a real “eye opener”!

Here are three very different fall cards, but I love each of them! The top left card is made primarily with Stampin’ Up products. The one on the right . . . . honestly, I can’t remember where those papers are from. The bottom card features Graphic 45 paper for the background, and some fussy cut pumpkins from a Prima line of paper. I apologize for the muted colors in these photographs. Apparently the natural light I was using wasn’t quite what I thought it was!

Those of you familiar with Anna Griffin products will recognize this card as hers, immediately! Her cards are so easy to put together, whether you’re actually using one of her kits, or some of her components to put together your own card. Soooo beautiful!

These cards were both made with background papers I downloaded online. Are you aware that there are many sites with free digital downloads available? Most of the ones I have used so far, I found on Etsy. But there are lots of them all over. Pinterest is a good place to start looking for what you need, also. They’re so easy to work with and with some embellishments, they make really wonderful cards.
And finally, both of these cards are made with primarily “Authentique” papers. Those who know me, or have taken my classes, know that my “signature” is silk ribbon on my cards, and that I love to add appropriate metal accents when I have them.

I hope I’ve inspired you to head into Fall and make some wonderful gratitude cards. There is nothing more special than to get a handmade card in the mail, made by someone who loves and cares about you. And if they’re saying “thank you” to you, in some way, even better! So make someone feel special soon!! Thanks for looking!

Hugs! Janice
