CARDS, CARDS & MORE CARDS!

I know I haven’t been sharing regularly . . .. but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been making cards! Just way too much going on, but I really have been enjoying doing a lot of paper crafting when I can. And I have a lot to show you today, so grab a cuppa and enjoy!

AUBURN, CA CLASS APRIL 5th!

First, a reminder of my next Auburn, CA class on the first Saturday of April . . . April 5th. We’ll be meeting here where I live, in the lower clubhouse, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Its time to reserve your spot, as supplies are limited. We’ll be making Easter cards, and I’ll have 2 “religious” cards and 2 “bunny” cards for you to choose from. Photos of two of the cards are shown below. Please let me know if you’ll be joining us. Class fee is still $15.00 for 3 cards . .. this time its for 4 cards, if you’d like to make all 4 of them.

This card uses all Stampin’ Up products. Love the bunnies and other little creatures in these papers, as well as the cute frames (there are 3 different frames), useful for any type of card. This step card is a “faux step card”, but they look just like the original cut step cards. I had this lovely pale blue silk ribbon in my stash, and it goes perfectly with the card.

This card uses all Anna Griffin products, from the arched dies and the cross die, to the matte gold foil paper and even the little flowers. I love this card, too . . . simple yet elegant, and speaks its message effectively!

SUSAN’s & KATRINA’s CLASSES

The next photos are from recent classes my friends Susan and Katrina did. Both of them come up with such GREAT cards, and its a lot of fun to go to their classes. Katrina’s classes are on the 2nd Saturday of each month at her home in Lincoln. Susan’s classes are the 3rd Wednesday of each month, here where she and I live. Let me know if you’re interested in joining us; I’ll give you all the details!

This class at Katrina’s last Saturday was so much fun! I love the “rain cards”, and especially my favorite technique – paper piecing – which is what we did on the umbrella the little girl with her puppy is holding. And, these are the BEST clouds yet!!! They are very realistic and nicely shaped . . . such an improvement over many former cloud dies! And, of course, I’m in love with the sweet puppy!!! These are all Stampin’ Up products.

More Stampin’ Up cards from Susan’s February class. I love all of these, too . . . we had a fun time with the bunny again, and the card on the right is also from that set of papers. In addition to cute creatures, there are great papers with a gardening theme. The card in the middle uses a set of free papers that we got if we placed a certain dollar amount order, during January and February. There are several different color schemes in these papers, and they’re really pretty . .. great for “background” layers on cards! The front of the card looks like the white triangle is a flap – but its flat. Cute layout!! The brown twig die adds some texture and interest to the card . . .. love it!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST . . . a NEW FAVORITE CARD!

And, I’m ready to show you the first card we’ll be making at my “Floral Fantasy” big event in Grass Valley on June 21st. This is my annual floral event, similar in set up to our “Handmade Holidays” event. We’ll craft from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, making 5 “over the top” floral cards. As many of you know, I’d be perfectly happy making just floral cards! I’ve searched out a wide variety of colors, papers, and card styles, so there will be lots of variety. We’ll have a light finger foods lunch, when you need an energy boost. These are my favorite type of cards . . .. lots of dies, embellishments, flowers, silk ribbons, and metal charms. . . . doing my best to make them really special! Class fee is $45.00. If you know you’ll be coming, let me know. I’ve actually reserved spots already, from gals who knew they wanted to come after just hearing me talk about the event. Seats are limited to 12, so it looks like they may go quickly! If this sounds like your “vibe”, please come . . . you won’t be disappointed. (actual Grass Valley location to be determined … I’m looking for an appropriate venue to fit my requirements!)

Isn’t this gorgeous?? It uses Stampin’ Up Zinnia dies, and I’ll have a zillion of the 2 layer flowers precut for you, so you can pick and choose the colors you want for YOUR card! Pretty sure I’ll hit my all-time record for number of dies on one card!! Let’s just say, I’m a crazy die cutting machine almost every day!!

And – this is just the first card! There are four more coming – different styles, different colors, different techniques . .. but always lots of beautiful elements to make gorgeous cards you’ll be proud to give, and your favorite people will feel so special to receive !

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s “eye candy”! Remember – do something creative every day!! Hugs! Janice
