FUN CARDS AT WORKSHOPS

I love taking some of my friends’ workshops! Of course, I love doing workshops myself, helping others create great cards. But sometimes, its nice to be the “student” instead of the teacher!

Today I’m showing you several workshop cards I’ve done recently. These first three cards are the cards we’ll be making at my Saturday, March 1 workshop here in Auburn, CA. I have always loved monochromatic cards. I wanted to do 3 different color schemes, 3 different styles, and 3 different sizes . . . and I’m really pleased with these cards you’ll be making!

This is one of my all-time favorite cards! I love the neutral monochromatic colors (the darker color is “shimmery gold” cardstock), and the gorgeous Anna Griffin dies. This is an A-7 card. (5″ X 0″)

This purple card features another Anna Griffin die. I revised this card yesterday. Those of you who saw it earlier this week, will notice I switched out a wisteria cardstock to a lacy pattern cardstock, for the focal diecut. The more I looked at my original card, I just felt the plain colored cardstock made the diecut seem too”stark”. I like the lacy effect of the new diecut, which still maintains the monochromatic theme.

This photo doesn’t do justice to the beautiful teal colors of this card. They are really beautiful, especially with the matte foil accents of the little “weeds” on the focal circle. This “quilted” embossing folder is an old Stampin’ Up one, but one I’ll never give up . .. I just love it.

So . .. if you want to make these cards, join us on March 1st! Class fee is still only $15.00 for the 3 cards. If you have questions, please contact me.

Isn’t this an adorable bunny? These papers are new from Stampin’ Up and this is a card we made at Kat’s workshop. The sweet little creatures in the paper not only make perfect Easter cards, but really cute “new baby” cards . . . or birthday cards for little kids!

Here’s another card from Kat’s class. This gorgeous bunch of blackberries is a “punch out” from a Stampin’ Up kit. If you haven’t checked out these kits, you should . . . Stampin’ Up is adding more and more kits all the time, some in catalogs and some online. They are perfect for quick but beautiful cards!

These last 3 cards are from Susan’s workshop . .. her “step it up” version of the blackberries, and two other images that come in the same kit. I love this kit, especially the blackberries and the roses . . . . seems that everyone else does too!

That’s it for today! Hope you’ve enjoyed the cards; thanks for looking! Remember . . .. do something creative every day! And let me know if you’ll be joining us on March 1st!

Big hugs! Janice
