I’m so happy you came to visit.

 

Bella Cosa debuted in 2002, as an online gift shop. Bella Cosa is Italian for “beautiful things” and the gift shop held “beautiful things for your home, your garden, and you.” Unfortunately, in 2002 and beyond, I didn’t have the time to dedicate to really operate an online gift shop . . . so Bella Cosa then became my blog for my stamping business. For the last 8 years or so, I’ve blogged about my stamping and scrapbooking workshops and posted photos of projects I have done.

Now, at the “ripe old age” of 68, I finally figured out that I am a “vintage gal”! What a shock! I have loved “antiques” since the early 70’s when I lived in Southwestern Michigan and we would go to our small town’s weekly auction . . .full of lots of wonderful “old stuff”! I still have a few pieces I bought there, and they are treasures. You’d think it would have dawned on me years ago that this was “me”!!

Fast forward to now . . . and I am passionate about the “vintage look” in my papercrafting, whether making cards, scrapbook pages, home décor items, or mixed media works of art. I also have boxes and boxes of antique treasures from my childhood home in Minnesota, as well as my aunt’s home and my grandma’s home. I’ve found that as each year goes by, I am more and more selective in what few things I want to keep from these boxes. (I hate dusting!!) One of my favorite pastimes now, is visiting vintage shops and fairs, flea market exploring, and thrift shop “treasure digging.”

Soooo . . . like the phoenix rising from the ashes, Bella Cosa has become”Bella Cosa Vintage.” Here you’ll find the things I love: vintage treasures from grandma’s attic; papercrafting creations and supplies (primarily Graphic 45 supplies); my “Grammys Buttons” line of handcrafted cards and gifts; my obsession with “ribbons, pretties and bling; and kits and classes should you feel the “vintage bug” yourself.

I will be adding new things to the shop each month, so please come back and visit often. I will also be blogging about the shop, the world of vintage, the past, things I love, treasures I find, books I read, topics that interest me, and . . .. life!!
