MISSING, BUT STILL IN ACTION!

Yes, I’ve been “missing” from my blog for a couple of months, now. But no, not “missing in action”! I’ve been really busy with a wide variety of activities – some crafting, some others. However, I haven’t quit crafting at all. I’ve been enjoying some “just playing” card making time, planning for some events, and finally finding a bit of time to enjoy some other activities.

This post is primarily photos, showing you some of the cards I’ve created recently, as well as those from a couple of classes I attended. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy and perhaps find some new inspiration. I had intended to close this post with a “Christmas in July” sale of holiday stamps, dies, etc. …however, I just discovered I hadn’t taken photos of several of the items for sale, so stay tuned! I’ll do that post tomorrow (Friday). These will be “last chance” big bargain prices!

Now for some photos!

This is one of my most favorite cards! It’s a different take on a card we did at my big “Floral Fantasy” event in June. I used the Stampin’ Up Zinnia dies, but instead of a solid white “lacy” layer, here I used a beautiful Graphic 45 patterned paper with flowers and hummingbirds. I loved the white layered card we made, but LOVE this one, too! So bright and cheery!

These 3 cards were made using some leftover oval punched A2 cards I had, and I decorated them with 3 leftover Anna Griffin roses. I love elegant, ornate cards, but sometimes I also like to create “clean and simple” designs . . . and of course, you can never get too many roses!!

One of the things I’ve been trying to do lately, is use up leftover scraps from previous projects. I had this panel of floral paper and some fussy cut flowers from other scraps of this paper, and put them together on a pale blue card. The scalloped oval diecut which is the focal point that anchors the greeting, is from an Anna Griffin die set. And that little butterfly? That is an old, old, old Stampin’ Up punch I still have . .. sometimes you need just a teeny butterfly, and I still use this punch frequently!

I think this hot pink matte foil “Happy Birthday” die is an old one from Stampin’ Up. (not sure!) It’s another keeper and I use it often. The floral and green diecuts are from an Anna Griffin set of gift card holders, believe it or not. I love this shape and have used it several times as just a layered die cut on cards I think the embossing folder I used on the pale pink card is a floral one from Stampin’ UP.

These cards are made using leftover scraps and fussy cuts from a card we did in one of my workshops recently. I honestly can’t remember what company the floral paper is from; all I remember is fussy cutting at least 100 gorgeous roses to use as ephemera!!

Here’s a fun banner I made for a friend, for the month of July. Lots of red, white, and blue . .. .and lots of fun to make! I love making banners, but then I can never figure out what to do with them!!

Here are the cards we made in my friend Kat’s workshop this month. That Stampin’ Up coneflower die is getting a TON of “ad space” lately . .. a very popular (and gorgeous!!) die . . . love it! And we decided the movie/popcorn card would be great holding a movie theater gift card inside!! SOOO cute!!

And the above 3 cards are ones that we made in Susan’s workshop this month. The middle one is colored with colored pencils, and then brushed over with a blender pen. I love the details in the white card with the peach accents. And I think my favorite is the last card . . . a cute “little bit different” fold, but what I really love is that floral Stampin’ Up paper!!

OK – that’s today’s inspiration!! Hope you enjoyed . . .remember tomorrow (Friday) morning I’ll post the “Christmas in July” sale stuff right here on the blog!

Happy Crafting!! Hugs! Janice
