Here Comes Peter Cottontail . . .

Yes, he’s hopping down the bunny trail . . . as we’re deeply into Easter crafting now. Many of us got a little caught unawares, as Easter is really early this year.

I have some cute bunny cards to show you, and a lovely card honoring the spiritual aspects of Easter, which I am much more “into” than the bunnies. But I have to admit, a little bunny is really adorable!

These first two cards are ones I made at the workshops of two of my dear friends. Both of them are Stampin’ Up Demonstrators, and I love attending their groups and making cards with both of them, where I’m the “student” and not the “teacher”!

This card features a current Stampin’ Up Easter set as well as some beautiful paper which many of us have nicknamed the “bird paper” as it has lots of really cool birdies in several patterns. Its been very popular and the soft pastel shades are SO pretty! I love how Katrina put these pieces all together for a sort of “collage” look!
My friend Susan used the same stamp set as Katrina did, but created a different look. That’s the fun of so many stamp sets is that you can use them to create many different “looks”. As we like to say, “the possibilities are endless!” The embossed lavendar panel layered on the blue card is a great color combination. And we now have “grass” dies, so its really easy to put “grass”on your cards!

This last card is actually from my creating for Easter last year. I love this soft bluish/green paper I found in my stash. I tried to keep this card quite simple, but “thought provoking”. Many of us feel very tender and full of love as we look at the cross, which is the “real meaning” of Easter, as we give thanks to our Father who loves us so.

Hope you’re enjoying looking forward to the Easter holiday. Stay tuned and I’ll be showing you some really lovely Anna Griffin bunny cards I’ve made, with her Easter egg die! Thanks for looking . .. and happy crafting!
