MAKING BEAUTIFUL MOTHERS DAY TREATS

Almost ready to say “goodbye” to March! Its been a pretty wild ride here in the Sierra Foothills this month. We’re all looking forward to more sunshine soon, getting our winter weeds destroyed, and starting to plant our gardens. With all this work coming soon, I’ve been trying to get ahead on my spring papercraft class projects.

I just finished my project samples for a Mothers Day class at a new venue I’m trying. A most gorgeous and charming nursery and gift shop in Penn Valley, CA (near Grass Valley) now has a new classroom right across the street from their shop. They have invited area artists and crafters to hold classes there, and I’m going to try it in April. If any of you are local (Sacramento area) I’d love to have you join us. Here are the “treats” we’ll be making on Tuesday evening, April 23rd.

Now for details on each project.

This lovely folding screen card features all Anna Griffin producs. I love this unique style for a slimline card, full of roses and pink matte foil accents. Class attendees will have the option of a couple of colors other than pink, for this card.
This beautiful pink butterfly is actually a gift card holder. There’s a pocket on the back of it, to hold a gift card and it will come with an envelope, too. Color options are available on this project, too. This is one of a set of 3 gift card holders, from Anna Griffin.

Next time, I’ll show you the other two projects we’ll be making: a folio card, filled with little treats and messages, and a pocket card with a package of spring flower seeds. They’re both in the photo on the ad above, for the class, but it’s hard to see details in that grouping of projects. So …. stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting! Remember, do something creative every day! Hugs! Janice
