ARE PINECONES IN YOUR FUTURE?

Today we’re transitioning into “Christmas all the way”! I’m still putting away all my beautiful Fall craftiness, but my craft room is definitely showing a lot of red and green! (and a few non-traditional Christmas colors, too!)

First, I want to show you the last two cards (of five) that you’ll be creating in my “Pinecone Christmas” class on November 12th. If you haven’t registered yet, it’s time! Class is at Theresa’s office at 104 Hughes Rd. in Grass Valley, CA, from 10:00 – 1:00 on the 12th. We’ll be making 5 cards featuring these great pinecones and pine foliage. (the first three cards are on my post from Oct. 10). Class fee is $35.00. Let me know if you’d like to join us! Kits are available, also, if you can’t make it on the 12th.

Deep forest green gives this card such a “richness” and I enhanced that with my signature silk ribbon in burgundy. It doesn’t show up in the photo, but I brushed the edges of the pinecone with a bit of Stickles bling, too!

And finally, somewhat non-traditional colored card in the slimline format, with another silk ribbon bow. I love making slimline cards. Somehow they seem more “dramatic” to me than a regular size card.

I attended two different card classes last week, myself. Sometimes its just fun to be the “student” rather than the “teacher”. My friend Kat had her monthly workshop on Saturday and we made some cute Stampin’ Up Christmas cards. (Photo below). I especially love the reindeer step card. If you’ve never made a step card, getting them folded and scored in the right places can seem a little intimidating. However, there are lots of great templates out there, and once you get the hang of it, they’re easy. And very impressive, if you ask me!

I hope I’ve given you a little inspiration today, to get those holiday supplies out of the closet, and start creating your “happiest time of the year”. There’s lots more coming from my craft room, especially as I prepare for the “Holiday Open House” sale at Prospector’s Vintage Marketplace in Nevada City on Nov. 3, 4, and 5. If you’re local, we’d love to have you visit us in our booth in the “barn”. There will be “holiday overload” for sure!

Hugs to all! “Create something every day!” Janice

  1. Pretty, Pretty, Pretty. Love the pine cones. Will take 3 extra kits. Also does Kat have any kits from her class?
