CALLING ALL FLOWER LOVERS!

Spring is finally here . . . my roses are absolutely gorgeous . . . the weather is warm but not hot . . . and life is good! Time to get together (those of you who are local here) and focus on some of our wonderful flowers.

I’m hosting a workshop on Saturday, June 17, at Theresa’s office on Hughes Rd. in Grass Valley, from 10 am – 1 pm. We’ll be using Graphic 45’s newer collection called “Flower Market”. Just take a look at this gorgeous set of papers!

I know, almost makes you dizzy, doesn’t it? This set consists of 12 sheets of 12 X 12 double sided paper, each for a different month of the year, and each featuring a different flower. My photo does not do the paper justice. The colors are vibrant and sharp, with lovely flower graphics on this side of the papers.
The front side of each paper features “cut apart” pieces for that month, and all months are in the same format as this January page. This is one of Graphic 45’s calendar sets of paper, but we are NOT going to make calendars! I fell in love with the flowers in these papers, and decided we’d make 2 cards focusing on this cut aparts side of the paper, and 2 cards featuring the stunning flowers on the other side of the paper. You’ll be able to choose which papers you use for each of the four cards. I will have many samples for you to copy or you can create your own layout. Then, as part of the class fee, you will also get to take all the rest of the papers in your set home, to create on your own, or copying more of my samples! Class fee is $48 and will also include silk ribbons as shown (in various colors), some metal embellishments, and lots of fussy cut flowers. (I’ll help you with some of these.)

These two card samples are for the month of June, featuring daisies. I accented several of the fussy cut and popped up flowers with Stickles …. sorry, that doesn’t show in the photo!
These two cards are for June, and highlight my favorite flower – roses!

So . . . . that’s what I’ve been up to lately! Lots and lots of fun creating “from scratch” with projects and samples for our workshop. Its good to have a Graphic 45 project again; I’ve missed them but just haven’t been all that jazzed with the collections they’ve come out with the last several months. Let me know if you can join the creative fun . . . I already have a couple of you who signed up earlier, but there’s room for several more! We’re going to have a flowering good time! Happy Crafting! Hugs – Janice

  1. I cant wait. Miss making cards. Miss you. Let me know what I can do.
Do we want to stay longer and do the last class with Kathy or it might be to much? We can set up a date otherwise
