Happy Mothers’ Day week . . . and Happy Spring!

I’ve been working on cards for Mothers’ Day as Theresa and I will be selling at the Colfax Craft Fair this coming Saturday in Colfax, CA. If you’re in the local area, do stop by and say hello, during the hours of 9:00 – 3:00 at the Colfax Community Center. We’d love to see you!

No doubt about it, moms are very special people. So I’ve been trying to make some extra special cards for them. These cards are all made with Anna Griffin products. The card bases all came in a Mothers’ Day kit from Anna, but I felt they were too “plain” (not usually the case with Anna’s kits!!) and I’ve embellished them with many other Anna diecuts, flowers, etc.

Two lovely lavender cards to start the “show”. I have so many friends who say their favorite color is purple, and I was thinking of all of them as I made these two cards!
Pale aqua is such a great background to feature pink and red roses. Accents of gold are prominent in many Anna Griffin cards, as her matte gold foil cardstock is one of her traditional products. I absolutely love her dies . . . . always stunning layers on most any card.
Here’s another color combination I love …. pale blue or aqua paired with pale yellow. It’s not quite as common as pink and blue, but is so soft and lovely! Makes me want to go to the garden and pick a bouquet . . . which I can’t do yet, as our chilly rains are still blessing us with more water than we needed here in Northern California. NOT complaining, however . . . its very welcome after years of drought!

Thanks for looking at my Mothers’ Day beauties! I’ll be back on Friday with more of them, including a very elegant new diecut card that I’m having lots of fun with. It’s called a “screen fold” and is tall and slim, and an accordian trifold designed to “stand up”. You’ll love it!

Hope your week is off to a great start. Happy crafting and don’t forget to create something every day! Hugs! Janice
