Stamping Fun with Stampin’ Up

As most of you know, I was a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator for 18 years. Those were very fun years, growing my business, watching Stampin’ Up grow and thrive, and learning a good share of what I know about paper crafting.

I’m no longer a demonstrator, but I still love and use many Stampin’ Up products in my workshops and my own leisure paper crafting, and I love going to workshops hosted by my friends who are still Demonstrators. I know many of you love Stampin’ Up also, so today I’ll show you some cards I’ve made in the last couple of months at friends’ workshops!

This is such a simple but really cute card! This was from Katrina’s workshop, and she was showing us how easy it is to use up your leftover scraps of designer paper! The coordinating pieces of designer paper we used here are really very small, so it pays to keep your scraps if you want to be a “thrifty stamper”!!

Here’s another really cute card from Katrina’s workshop! I love using all the different shapes and sizes of dies that are available now. The two layered circles here, with the greeting, are also very small pieces of paper that you’re bound to have in your “stash”!! And the daisy is an even smaller scrap of paper! Love these daisies . . . a very popular little flower right now!!

Here’s a lovely card from my friend Susan’s workshop. I think the thing I love so much about this card is the colors, and the simplicity of it. Susan has only been a Demonstrator for a little over a year, but she is a true “natural”! She’s already mastered both color and composition of cards, and I love her creations!

And . . this card is gorgeous!! It features ROSES, so how could I NOT like it!!?? When I see a card I just love, its fun to search out all the details the creator has used on the card: embossed card front, some sponging and spatters to “age” the look of the card, tiny “pearl” accents, lovely soft coloring for the roses and the leaves, and ribbon that’s understated, so it doesn’t “overpower” the roses! Soooo pretty!

If you’d like to do some Stampin’ Up stamping, both of my friends have monthly classes. Katrina holds classes in Lincoln, CA and Susan holds classes here in Auburn, CA. If you’d like to visit one of their classes, just let me know and I’ll give you all the details!!

I’m also starting a class here in Auburn, and while my class will not be exclusively Stampin’ Up products, I do use quite a few of them . .. along with products from other crafting companies. Card making is such a perfect “craft”! You can enjoy being creative (no experience necessary!!!), make something beautiful, and often times give it to someone who “needs” it . . . and reap the blessings for your own soul! How could a hobby be more perfect!!??!

Happy Crafting and hugs to all! Remember, do something creative every day! Janice
