It’s 2023 Calendar Time!

Well!! 2023 has “poured” (literally) into the Sacramento region of California, making us think at times that we’re going to float away! I know many of you in other parts of the country are dealing with crazy weather, too. Quite a dramatic introduction to the new year! It’s been great for crafting . . . haven’t even wanted to leave the house for several days!

Several of you have said you are MORE than ready for another class . . . so here it comes! This is a special class I created, for this first part of the year. I’m calling it “Eight Essentials for Your Stash”! We’ll be making 8 cards to replenish your stash . . . the kinds of cards you always need when you don’t have them! We’ll make: a feminine birthday card, a masculine birthday card, a kids birthday card, 2 thinking of you cards, a sympathy card, an anniversary (or wedding) card, and a thank you card. The cards will all be 5″ X 7″, and I’m making them really pretty but fairly simple and easy to put together, since there are 8 of them. I’m also charging only $6 per card, rather than the usual $7 per card, as these don’t have as many of the more costly embellishments I often use. … but still lovely and I’m sure you’ll like them! (fee: $48).

The class will start off our 2023 schedule, with classes on the 3rd Saturday of the month – soo February 18th, from 10:00 – 1:00. Classes will still be at Theresa’s studio room, in back of where her office used to be. However, you need to go around the back of the building, and up the stairs, into the back door of the studio. (104 Hughes Rd.- Grass Valley)

Then on alternate months on 3rd Saturdays, we’ll start having a little different type of class . . . more of a “hands on” technique/learning situation. Saturday, March 18th we’ll focus on using vellum on your cards. We’ll make a couple of cards, but you will be learning several different ways to use vellum, and practicing those techniques without necessarily finishing a card. Along with a couple cards, you’ll have an instruction sheet, photos, and your samples to take home with you, and use on cards of your own. These technique oriented classes will be $25.00, same time and place.

These photos above are the first two cards I’ve finished for the February 18th class. Registration is open, and I have limited seating . . . so get your name and class fee in, to confirm your registration. Should you not be able to attend, you’ll get a kit of all the cards. This coming weekend, Thursday through Sunday, we’ll have our cards for sale at Gypsy Chic Vintage Market in Lincoln, CA.
